A description of the collaborative work on viral discovery being done by Abbott and UCSF.
An initiative, sponsored by the state governor’s office, to implement precision medicine approaches to benefit patients. Our multi-institutional Precision Diagnosis of Acute Infectious Diseases study is supported by the CIAPM.
Founded in 2016 with the support of the CIAPM and several philanthropic grants, this UCSF center is closely affiliated with Chiu laboratory and strives to rapidly translate research discoveries into the clinical laboratory.
The Chiu laboratory actively collaborates with NASA and other groups on a project to implement sequencing in space to diagnose infections in astronauts, screen for microbes in the environment, and perhaps discover new life.
