Center for Next-Gen Precision Diagnostics
Founded in 2016 with the support of the CIAPM and several philanthropic grants, this UCSF center is closely affiliated with Chiu laboratory and strives to rapidly translate research discoveries into the clinical laboratory.
NASA Biomolecular Sequencer Project
The Chiu laboratory actively collaborates with NASA and other groups on a project to implement sequencing in space to diagnose infections in astronauts, screen for microbes in the environment, and perhaps discover new life.
